Randy Bardock has been a mentor and leader to generations of soccer players in the city. As the head coach for the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns men’s soccer team for more than 30 years, Bardock is credited with keeping the Pronghorns program running when it was threatened by budget cuts in the 1990s. Bardock has also coached at a variety of levels throughout his career, including stints with Alberta’s Under-16 provincial team, Canada’s World Student Games teams in 2009 and 2013, Whitecaps Academy and Lethbridge FC.
