History

In December 1997, soccer moved into the Lethbridge Soccer Centre (now named Community Savings Place) located at 2501-28 Avenue South. The 58,000 square foot facility houses 2 regulation size indoor soccer pitches with grandstand seating for approximately 2000.

The Lethbridge Soccer Association Offices, Corner Kick Café, a full concession, Cross Bar Lounge and Doug's Sports pro shop make up the available services offered by Community Savings Place. Meeting and conference rooms are available and can accommodate from as little as 10 people to over 1500 people depending on your needs.

We were proud to be the “Heartstop Lounge” Hospitality Venue for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, February 16-25, 2007, a 10-day National Curling event that attracted thousands of spectators and curlers to our facility each day. To date, Community Savings Place has been the host of many sporting activities including Provincial and National competitions; Youth and Senior Provincial Indoor Soccer, Judo Provincials, Judo Nationals, In Line Hockey Provincials, Gymnastic Provincials and Ball Hockey Nationals to name a few.

Community Savings Place has also hosted a variety of non-sporting events; Lethbridge Family Festival, Schizophrenia Society Variety Show, Weddings, Drygrads sponsored by LCI, CCHS, Taber as well as New Year's Eve events put on by the LDS Church annually. The Community Savings Place has also played host to a myriad of parties, anniversaries, business meetings and shows. As these events demonstrate, "WE'RE NOT JUST SOCCER ANYMORE".
